Cake and Coffee Hour: Episode 2

Hello Enlightened Beauties!

I apologize for being ill and not uploading as much. I'm slowly recovering so I'll be posting more often.

With that being said, I wanted to discuss several topics that have been discussed before, but not in as much detail. Please share your thoughts below, but remember to keep it civil and be respectful. Thank you!

The Return of Relaxed Hair

I’m seeing relaxed hair making a comeback and I love it! 💕💞💖

There are many misconceptions about relaxed hair, and one of those misconceptions is that it can’t grow long. That is a huge lie and there are many women with relaxed long, healthy hair! It’s all about T.L.C. (Tender Lover and Care), and relaxed hair needs plenty of it. The more love and care you give to your hair, the healthier it’ll be. The healthier the hair, the more it’ll grow. As a woman with relaxed hair, I make sure to give my hair deep condition and hot oil treatments every week. I also recommend trimming your hair every other week and using low-maintenance styling. One way is to wear a simple bun with the ends tucked in.

As a woman with relaxed hair, you can always show gorgeous, voluminous curls without using heat. Simply use the roller set method to produce bouncy, luxurious curls! There are multiple hair rollers available from steam rollers to flexi-rods to foam rollers. It’s all up to ...

The Importance Of Spaces Just For Authentic Light Skin Women

Happy Thursday, Enlightened Beauties! 💞💕🩷
Here are photos of my natural skin tone and the powder foundation that I use. It’s Neutrogena’s Mineral Sheers Compact Powder Foundation SPF 20. I never use foundation that is either too dark or too light. Using the wrong foundation that doesn’t match your skin tone is a huge issue and I’ve seen many brown skin and dark skin women using foundation that is too light. That’s a huge “No-No”. Please make sure to choose any foundation, whether it’s liquid or powder, that matches your natural skin tone.
As I stated earlier, I clearly have light skin and am in the darker shade of the light skin spectrum. I’m either “Olive” or what I’d like to call Beige. Us light skin women should be allowed to have a space just for ourselves.
